Today for my usual Apple post I want to look at Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) and compare it to Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL). I think most people see Google and Apple as the innovators of today. But the street has a favorite, and that is Google. Why do I say this you ask, lets look at a side by side chart: Google has ⅓ the revenue as Apple, and ¼ the revenue as Apple but Apple is only valued 1.57 times Google. In addition, Google has a much higher P/E than Apple. This indicates to me that the market has more confidence in Google than Apple. However, it could be a sign that Apple might be undervalued. On the other hand, both companies are trading four times book value. With new products coming out like the New iPhone and iPad, there is potential for increase in the stock prices of Apple.
