Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) is up about 3% at 1 PM. It’s about to hit its high point at about $140 per share. Will it break through or will there be a price correction? Investors are also concerned about the new BMW i3 and its impact on Tesla’s sales. According to Jim Cramer, the new i3 will not be a factor in the price of Tesla’s stock. Cramer acknowledges that the new BMW does not have as much miles per battery as the Tesla. Also, Tesla has a higher cool factor, people tend to get very excited when they see a Tesla on the road. As Debra Borchardt (The Street) stated, the Tesla has more curb appeal. The big question is for how long? We can say for now that the Tesla has a high degree of product differentiation for the BMW.
