(Image source: Android Authority) A recent report by Business Insider estimates that Andriod created by Google(NASDAQ:GOOG) has 79.3% of the smartphone market share. Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iOS only has 13.2% of the market share. Apple’s market share has been decreasing over the year while Google’s share has been increasing. What does this mean for Google? It depends on if they can keep the market share in the long run. Apple is expected to release a new cheaper iPhone 5C in the coming months that may be able to compete with other Andriod devices on price. On the other hand, many Andriod devices are outperforming Apple products on functionality and features. Android vs. iOS, who will win?
